SGE Marketing Services Inc, is an affiliate company of Spring-Green Enterprises parent company of two national franchise brands, Pet Butler and Spring-Green as well as a portfolio of company owned franchises. SGE Marketing is seeking a full-time Senior Brand & Content Performance Manager based out of Naperville, IL. This is a hybrid position with flexibility to work remotely a couple of days a week, along with expectations to work three day a week in the Naperville, IL corporate office.

Position Summary:
The Senior SEO Manager is responsible for shaping our Spring-Green Enterprises SEO and website road map and is recognized as a subject matter expert and accountable for the organization’s digital performance This role will act with a high degree of independent judgement and decision making relative to the development, execution and performance analysis of all Spring-Green and Pet Butler SEO and GEO (Generative Engine Optimization) programs within the digital marketing channels. The SSSM will be part of the marketing operations team and require the development of strong and long-lasting relationships between key stakeholders, department leaders and vendors. Functional areas of responsibility include but are not limited to all Spring-Green and Pet Butler Websites Search Engine Optimization (SEO) and Generative Engine Optimization (GEO), bridging marketing strategy with technical implementation to ensure brand visibility in AI-driven answers. The SSM will collaborate with a blend of internal team members, contractors, and strategic vendors. This position has both strategic and financial responsibility and reports to the Sr. Director of Marketing Operations.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Lead SEO & AI Search Strategy: Own the SEO and Generative Engine Optimization (GEO) strategy across multiple brands, driving visibility in both traditional search engines and AI-powered search experiences.
- Drive Technical SEO Performance: Lead technical SEO audits and improvements, including site architecture, crawlability, indexation, Core Web Vitals, structured data, and page performance.
- Optimize for AI-Driven Search: Design content and implement technical frameworks that make content easily discoverable, authoritative, and trusted across AI-generated search experiences and large language models.
- Enhance Website & CMS Experience: Partner with developers to manage website improvements, CMS updates, and performance enhancements across enterprise-scale sites.
- Own SEO Content Strategy: Conduct keyword research, SEO gap analysis, and content optimization, working closely with agencies and internal teams to align content with search intent and brand goals.
- Measure, Analyze & Report Results: Track and report on SEO, GEO, and AI visibility KPIs, translating performance data into clear insights for leadership and stakeholders.
- Connect Search to Business Outcomes: Collaborate cross-functionally to tie organic visibility, leads, and conversions to real business impact and revenue growth.
- Stay Ahead of Search Trends: Monitor algorithm updates, AI search innovations, and industry trends to proactively evolve strategy and maintain competitive advantage.
- Manage Roadmaps & Priorities: Build and maintain SEO and GEO roadmaps, balancing short-term wins with scalable, long-term initiatives.
- Lead Agency & Vendor Partnerships: Manage relationships with SEO agencies, developers, and technology partners to ensure high-quality execution and alignment.
- Support Testing & Optimization: Partner on UAT and ongoing optimization efforts to improve Website experiences and performance.
- Act as a Search Thought Leader: Serve as a subject matter expert for SEO and AI-driven search, influencing strategy, educating stakeholders, and shaping best practices across the organization.
Education and/or Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing or related field.
- Minimum 7+ years leading SEO efforts with exceptional strategic vision, conceptual thinking, analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Demonstrated success in ecommerce, website marketing, digital media and SEO to meet strategic business initiatives.
- Demonstrated experience working with Saas-based Marketing Stack components like Google Analytics, and website CMS such as WordPress.
- Experience executing multi-channel marketing campaigns and passionate about the customer experience.
- Experience working with multiple business stakeholders, helping articulate marketing requirements.
- Experience reporting performance KPI’s to larger teams with strong analytical aptitude.
- Familiarity with SEO tools (Semrush, Ahrefs, Moz, Screaming Frog).
- Understanding of HTML/CSS basics.
- Ability to interpret data and present actionable insights.
- Certifications (Google Analytics, HubSpot SEO) are a plus.
- Deep understanding of LLMs (ChatGPT, Gemini, etc.) and how they process content.
- Strong analytical skills for measuring AI-driven visibility.
- Technical expertise in structured data and semantic SEO.
